Digital radiography allows us to take x-rays of your teeth with far less radiation when compared to a traditional dental x-ray machine. The x-rays are stored on our computer, where our Team Members are able to access and present them to you more quickly and conveniently than ever before. We can also send your images electronically to your insurance company for faster processing time, as well as faster treatment.
Digital radiography is a type of X-ray imaging utilizing digital sensors instead of traditional photographic film. This means the x-ray process is faster, making your appointment shorter, and more comfortable. In addition, digital radiography eliminates the need for messy, time consuming chemical processing, instead permitting us to digitally transfer and enhance the images in a matter of minutes. Unlike older x-ray technology, images are high resolution, without the ‘grainy’ appearance of traditional x-rays.
Your x-rays are now be taken in a just a few seconds, making your visit not only faster, but also reduces exposure to potentially harmful radiation.
Another benefit of digital radiography is that your dentist can share your images with other professionals who may be collaborating in your treatment.
